Overview and prospects of the Inflation Reduction Act - Part 2

U.S. climate and industrial policy put to the test of Trump2. What does the future hold for the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)?

Professor at Sciences Po Paris and associate senior analyst at Zenon, Philippe Copinschi produced a report offering an overview and outlining the outlook for the Inflation Reduction Act. This part 2 presents an initial assessment of the IRA two years after its launch, as well as an assessment of the risks of it being dismantled by the new Trump 2 administration. While certain provisions, particularly relating directly to the fight against climate change, could be the target of the new tenant of the White House, the law as a whole should survive as it has so far benefited Republican states and because it fits perfectly into the protectionist logic advocated by Trump.
